The Gr4 and Gr5 Slow Air and 3/4 March solo contests have been cancelled

PIPE MAJORS: Please share these items with your bands.

1) MASSED BANDS is at 5:30 PM
Senior Drum Major is Kerry Lewis from Spirit of Michigan (Thank you Kerry!)

2) Band Meeting at 10:30 AM: Please have a band representative there to get instructions for Massed Bands.

3) Bands may erect pop-up canopies along the walkway south of the Arena and in the grass south and west of the VIP parking area (marked as Band Row in map above). You may erect your tent frame on Friday Night. If you must attach the canopy cover, please lower the legs of the frame in case we get winds overnight. We will have 19 bands so please be neighborly and make room for other bands. If you cannot find room for your band, please come to the MWPBA tent and the local organizers will help locate another space.

4) Each competing band gets one VIP parking (Gate 3) spot free, presumably for vehicles carrying shelters or drums. (You get one per grade if you have two bands.) Enter via Gate 3 on the west side of the Expo Center (see map above) and give the attendant your band name (and Grade if your organization has more than one grade at the contest).

NOTE: Only 1 person may be in the vehicle entering Gate 3. You may enter Gate 1 for free and drive to the drop off area to drop off additional persons in your car, then exit out through Gate 1 and turn right onto Northview Road to proceed to Gate 3.

5) No outside food or beverages, especially alcohol. Bottled water and food for special dietary needs is okay (but be prepared to be challenged). Coolers will be inspected. If you wish to go off site for food, get your hands stamped as you leave. You may go in and out of Gate 1 for parking, as needed.

6) Soloists and band members should check in at the "Volunteers/Participant" table at the admission gate (click on Map above). Participants should tell the volunteer they are with "Pipes and Drums" and give their Last Name. (The Admissions list is not organized by Band Name.)

Admission is $20 for non-band members (children 12 and under are free). You may pre-order tickets in August https://www.wisconsinscottish.org/tickets; pick up the tickets at the "will call" window at the Admissions tent.

7) We will be awarding Best Drum and Best Bass/Midsection plaques in each grade.

8) We will provide water during the day along "band row" and also by the MWPBA tent. Please stay hydrated!
